The Mahomet-Seymour School Board approved Superintendent Lindsey Hall’s recommendation to begin the 2020-21 school year with a hybrid learning option.
Pre-K through grade 5 will attend school in-person four days a week, Tuesday through Friday, in half-day segments. Grades 6-12 will be on an A/B schedule, attending school in-person two days a week. Students will be required to complete 5.5 hour school days, supplementing with asynchronous learning.
Mondays will be reserved for professional development and asynchronous learning.
The Mahomet-Seymour School board will re-evaluate their plan in September. Hall suggested that part of that re-evaluation would be to begin full time in October.
The district will also provide an e-learning option.
