MSHS WYSE team places second at State competition

M-S Board raises school enrollment, Kid’s Club fees
The Mahomet-Seymour School Board voted to increase school registration and Kid’s Club fees for the 2018-2019 school year. Middletown Prairie and Lincoln Trail (K-5) registration increase will go from $85 to $110. MSJHS registration will go from $85 to $135 and MSHS registration will go from $120 to $170. Rose meets with Poskin in Springfield
State Sen. Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet) met with Aimee Poskin from Mahomet April 11 at the Statehouse. Poskin is with the Illinois Leadership Council for Agriculture and works for Farm Credit Illinois. Mahomet teen dies in Monday morning accident
Nineteen-year-old Heather Clarke of Mahomet was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle crash near 2175 CR 700 E in Hensley Township at 8:55 a.m. Monday. An autopsy is scheduled at the Champaign County Regional Autopsy Facility Monday afternoon. The crash is under investigation by the Champaign County Sheriff’s Department. Read more

Scharlow receives disability pension for 2016 incident
The Village of Mahomet Pension Board voted 5-0 Friday morning to award former Mahomet Police Officer Jeremy Scharlow a disability pension.
