The Mahomet Lions Club will honor local first responders, active military and veterans on Aug. 29 with an “Honor Parade.”
Community organizations are invited to participate with a decorated vehicle or float. A $100 entry fee, which will guarantee a spot in the parade for one vehicle, a driver and a passenger.
All proceeds will go to the Mahomet Lions Club for community needs.
Line-up for the parade will take place at Lincoln Trail Elementary beginning at 7 a.m. The parade is expected to take off at 9 a.m.
To be part of the parade, fill out the attached form with payment and mail it to PO Box 587, Mahomet, IL 61853. Forms are due by Aug. 21.
