M-S Boys’ Golf
Junior Zach Courson fired an 83 and placed eighth individually in the Apollo Conference Boys’ Golf Tournament on Monday (Sept. 28) at the Lincoln Elks Club.
The top eight finishers were accorded all-conference accolades.
Courson’s performance marked the fifth consecutive meet where he posted the team’s top score.
Other M-S participants at the league meet were: Carter Selk (88), C.J. Shoaf (89), Jameson Drinkwalter (89), Jackson White (99) and Brian Coyne (116).
In the team chase, M-S placed fourth among eight schools, with a score of 349.
Apollo champion Mattoon had a composite of 317 and was followed by Lincoln (342) and Charleston (347).
M-S returns to action on Thursday (Oct. 1) against Tuscola at Lake of the Woods.
